Recognized as one of the UKs most talented acoustic guitarists, Nick Harper is a folk/blues-rock singer/songwriter from London and the former guitarist for the new wave band Squeeze. Once known as the son of the legendary folk artist Roy Harper, he began forging a name for himself in 1995 with his debut solo album Seed. Harper's music took a political turn in 2006 with the album Treasure Island, which offered strong opposition to the Bush administration and the US President's foreign agenda while maintaining Harper's warm and intricate guitar style. Not long after he began dedicating his time to philanthropic endeavors such as donating all the proceeds from his number one single "Blue Sky Thinking" to the Love Hope Strength Foundation for the benefit of cancer survivors. After returning from a three year hiatus dedicated to touring and broadening his charity work, Harper returned in 2010 with The Last Guitar.
