Fulham F.C. is one of the legendary figures in English football whose history predates a number of clubs. Established in 1879, it is London's oldest football club but only became a member of the Football League 1907. Nicknamed "The Cottagers" the club has been fairly successful and has featured in some of the most gruesome games of the English league. Even though it spent a fairly limited number of seasons in the top flight, it has managed to make a handful of great memories. Its biggest highlight came in the 2009–10, when it made it all the way to the finals of the UEFA Europa League, but failed to beat Atletico Madrid. The team has also fielded a number of world class footballers, including the likes of Edwin Van Der Sar, Clint Dempsey, Moussa Dembele and Scott Parker.
