Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Kassa Overall is a powerhouse of a solo performer as well as a sideman for many acts, whose musical range extends from avant-garde jazz to indie rock and hip hop. His passion for electronic music shines through his productions, which integrate samplers and techno elements. He was mentored by icons such as Billy Higgins, Elvin Jones and others while studying at Oberlin. Upon graduating, he shifted base to New York and began working with luminaries like Christian McBride, Mayer Hawthorne, Ravi Coltrane, and more. Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with the band Timeline, trumpeter Theo Croker, hip-hop outfit Das Racist and other house bands. Some of his work as a solo artist include the singles "Mac and Cheese" and "Cussing at the Strip," the EP Drake It Till You Make It, and the album I Think I'm Good.
