Percussion virtuoso Ben Aylon gained national recognition in Senegal after appearing on popular TV shows with his solo performance "One Man Tribe". Inspired by the Senegalese tradition, and under the guidance of Doudou and Aly Ndiaye Rose, Ben created an innovative style and hybrid drumming technique, which capsules the massive sound of a tribe of drummers into a powerful solo performance on a ten-piece Senegalese drum set. His popularity in Senegal led to meetings and collaborations with major artists in West Africa like Cheikh Lo and Youssou Ndour. Through these collaborations, he produced his debut album, "Xalam," presenting his compositions on the Senegalese string instrument, the ?Xalam?. Ben comes to the Club on July 10th for a special show.
