Singer/songwriter Sarah Joyce was born and raised in Pakistan before moving to England when she was 11 years old, where she started playing guitar as well as writing her own original soul-influenced, soft rock tunes. Though Joyce was in a slightly successful London-based band called La Honda in 2000 and 2001, Joyce's big break came when she released her debut solo album under the Rumer guise. The LP helped establish the chanteuse as a modern female songwriter who's more than capable of creating well-crafted and heartfelt light rock tunes.
