The Enid emerged out of the UK with a progressive rock style in 1973. Founded by Robert John Godfrey, the band often delves into the realms of symphonic rock and art rock but always emerges with a forward-thinking, experimental style. Despite a revolving lineup, the band is anchored by Godrey's songwriting. From its 1976 debut In the Region of the Summer Stars, to 1995's Sundialer and 2016's Dust, The Enid continues to create progressive music that speaks to the future of the rock genre.
