French artist Francis Cabrel is a folk singer/songwriter and guitarist who weaves elegant threads of blues, country and pop throughout his songs. Educated by the music of Bob Dylan, he cultivated his own raw pop sound and released his eponymous debut album in 1977. With over a dozen LPs in his catalog, Cabrel has built a solid repertoire of songs, including the crossover hits "Petite Marie" and "L'encre de tes yeux," that are considered French pop classics.
