Olympique Lyonnais, is a French football team based in Lyon and created officially in 1950. The club is one of the most famous and popular in France after Marseille and Paris. The club has won several titles, including seven successive Ligue 1 Championships from 2002 to 2008. Seven seems to be the club's lucky number, because it has also won seven Champion's trophies too, in addition to five Coupe de France titles and three Ligue 2 Championships. Since 1950, Stadium of Gerland is where the team plays its home matches, but a new stadium, OL Land, is opening its gates in 2016. Its training center is the Center Tola Vologe, located near Gerland. The team's jerseys are white with blues lines. OL's nickname is Les Gones, (The kids), and its official anthem is "Casus Belli". The club also has a successful women's football team, which has won nine league titles. L' Olympique Lyonnais also as is own TV network, OLTV. The club has launched the careers of many French international players including Karim Benzema, Hatem Ben Harfa, and Ludovic Giuly. The team's most important rivalries are with the clubs of Bordeaux, Paris and Marseille.
