Local H is a rock and roll duo that was formed in Zion, Illinois by lead vocalist and guitarist Scott Lucas and drummer Joe Daniels in 1987. The band signed a contract with Island Records in 1994 and released its debut album Ham Fisted, in 1995 with a grunge-inspired punk rock sound. After promoting the record with an extensive show schedule, Local H entered the studio again to record its 1996 album As Good as Dead, which earned widespread attention for its lead single "Bound for the Floor." Though Daniels left the group in 1999, Lucas has since been joined by drummer Ryan Harding and continues to release music as Local H, including the 2012 LP, Hallelujah! I'm a Bum.
