Charleston is known for its history and its bed and breakfasts. It is also known for its seafood, particularly shellfish. Every February at Boone Hall Plantation, visitors can enjoy fresh steamed oysters at the annual festival. There are children's activities, music and oyster shucking. Come on out and join the fun. The event is sponsored by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association. Proceeds will go to numerous charitable organizations.
