"Hobos are people who move around looking for work, tramps are people who move around but don't look for work, and bums are people who don't move and don't work. I've been all three."
Though this quote sounds like it comes from some grizzled travelin' man who lives on the street and has never planted roots in any one place for an extended period of time, the blues musician Seasick Steve said it. Steve, whose real name is Steven Wold, was born in Oakland, California in 1941 and left home for a life on the road when he was only 13. He traveled around for a long while until he found his true calling: the blues. His rag-tag sound is extremely unique and a chance to see the bearded, overall-sporting traveling minstrel is an opportunity not to be missed.
