John Cooper Clarke is considered somewhat of a living legend. The British performance poet from Salford, England is one of the major pioneers of punk poetry and literature. Clarke has opened for such bands as Joy Division, Sex Pistols, New Order, and Elvis Costello. His most famous poem is "Evidently Chickentown" from his album Snap, Crackle & Bop.
