Based during the Great Depression of the 1930s, Girl From the North Country weaves a tale of love and loss during trying times. Written by the acclaimed dramatist Conor McPherson - known for works like The Weir and The Seafarer - this musical features some of the most poignant songs of Bob Dylan such as "Like a Rolling Stone," "I Want You," "Girl From the North Country," "Hurricane" and "Forever Young." It premiered at The Old Vic, London in 2017 before making its way to the Public Theater, NYC the following year. Upon its debut, it received universal acclaim from theater critics and media outlets, being lauded as 'a remarkable fusion of text and music' and 'a very special piece of theater.' The story was especially appreciated for being able to hold its own against songs as emotive and intense as Bob Dylan's.
