Far too few bands are properly able to express how they sound with their name, but the Italian group Fleshgod Apocalypse is an exception. Founded in 2007, the group makes a symphonically-inspired style of death metal that sounds like it'd be the perfect sound track should the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse ever decided to reign down their wrath upon Earth's sinful inhabitants. The Rome-based group released its debut LP, Oracles, in 2009 and the album helped introduce Fleshgod Apocalypse as a preeminent act on the multifaceted European metal scene.
