Elijah Jeffery is a jazz vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Cardiff, Wales. Growing up in a household surrounded by music, Elijah found an early love for musical theatre and the Great American Songbook, taking inspiration both from the songwriters and master vocalists of the 20th Century, from Ella Fitzgerald and Nat ?King? Cole to Cole Porter and Duke Ellington. Whilst studying Jazz at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Elijah established himself as an up-and-coming artist in Welsh jazz, and has collaborated with the likes of vocalist Claire Martin OBE, toured with Welsh-Jamaican vocalist Dionne Bennett and fronted big bands such as Capital City Jazz Orchestra in venues across the country.

Having ?already garnered comparisons with the greats? (Jazzwise) after the release of his debut album ?Home? pianist, Eddie Gripper, has been rapidly establishing himself as another young contender on the national jazz circuit. He has worked as a performer, promoter and producer alongside top musicians in his field, including Huw Warren, Iain Ballamy, Laura Jurd, Alex Merritt and Yuri Golubev. As a composer, he has collaborated with Welsh folk artist Angharad Jenkins in a handful of projects, exploring the various aspects of folk, jazz and contemporary classical traditions.

Joined by Huw Llewellyn on trumpet, Nick Kacal on double bass and Patrick Barrett-Donlon on drums, Elijah and Eddie present an evening of their very favourite tunes with a brand-new quintet, paying homage to the greats of vocal jazz through-the-ages. Expect classics from the songbooks of Nat ?King? Cole and Frank Sinatra, all the way through to contemporary selections by Kurt Elling and Gregory Porter.
