Having a huge celebrity for a parent can be either a blessing or a curse in the music world. Luckily for Kyle Eastwood - son of Clint - his chops are plenty refined and apparent enough to separate him from the shadow of his father. Eastwood plays bass (electric and stand-up) and sings in a jazz quartet operating under his own name. The music draws inspiration from the cool jazz era of the 50s, albeit with some modern touches, like the use of electric instruments. Eastwood's debut album, From There to Here, came out in 1998 and he has been releasing albums of both jazz standards and original compositions ever since.
