American comedian and writer Chris Gethard got involved in the performing arts back in 2000 while at Rutgers University. A skilled writer, he performed his show Career Suicide - dealing with subjects like alcoholism and depression - at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016. During that time, he was invited to record an episode of "Comedian's Comedian Podcast." He created and hosted the show The Chris Gethard Show from 2011 to 2018, which developed a name for the variety of sections that he featured. In addition to producing shows, he has also released albums including My Comedy Album, Career Suicide and Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese. An advocate for mental health, he has collaborated with other creators to raise awareness about it.
