22 formations were engaged for 25 concerts on 4 stages. The highlights so far are reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, guitar god Joe Satriani, the Latin jazz by Matt Bianco, the Swiss shooting star Bastian Baker and the grandiose blues rockers of the Royal Southern Brotherhood, with Cyril Neville and Devon Allman. But these are only the most well-known names. The program features a lot of insider tips (Dana Fuchs, Moreland & Arbuckle) and also local creations (Callaway with Marc Storace, Yvonne Moore, The Bacon Fats).
The Rapperswil blues'n'jazz festival not only impresses with a very independent, original program, but also thanks to its groove. The ambience, with stages in the middle of the historic town and directly on Lake Zurich, is unique. The visitor has the opportunity to stroll through the narrow streets from stage to stage, to stop off in pretty pubs or to take a bath between two gigs. Also practical: the train station is in the immediate vicinity of the festival site. In addition: The prices for Friday and Saturday are moderate, on Sunday entry is even free for everyone. Children born in 2000 and younger have free admission on all days.
