LaBrassBanda is a five-piece Balkan brass band from Germany that incorporates punk, ska, mariachi and polka music into its worldly sound. The band formed in 2007 and only a year later, LaBrassBanda toured from its hometown of Chiemgau to watch the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship match in Vienna. The members rode mopeds the entire duration of the tour and used a tractor to tow the trailer that the band used as a stage for their public performances. The tour gained LaBrassBanda positive attention for its tour, especially from locals in the towns where they stopped. After releasing it's 2009 album, Übersee, the band was invited to play at the Harare International Festival of Arts in Zimbabwe and the Roskilde Festival in Denmark as well as the 2010 Southside and Hurricane festivals in Germany.
