The Dismemberment Plan was formed in Washington D.C. in 1993 when its members were still attending high school. Influenced by the East Coast art punk scene, old post punk and R&B, the four-piece created its own unique style that has been tremendously influential in many realms of indie rock and is widely credited as the catalyst that started the post-punk revival in the early 2000s. After leading a successful career for 10 years, the band broke up in 2003 but reunited briefly in 2007 and did the same in 2010. While The Dismemberment Plan hasn't made any promises of new material since reuniting, just playing a handful of shows here and there, the group's live show is still as high energy and entertaining as ever, and should be witnessed in case they decide to split again.
