Jelte Tuinstra is a Dutch rock singer/songwriter who uses the alias Jett Rebel. Growing up, he showed a great affinity for music, resulting in him playing the drums, piano and guitar before turning 10. During his high school time, he created furor by winning the school's talent show year after year. At that time, he gained local exposure with bands like Bitter Lemon, Fubroz, The Zoo and Metro Mortale. He went on to study the piano and guitar at the Conservatorium in Amsterdam and joined the pop bands The Souldiers and Valerius, scoring a national hit with the latter. It wasn't until 2012 that he decided to pursue a solo career under the name of Jett Rebel. Rebel's first musical feat of arms was his EP Venus in 2013, soon followed by Mars, an LP containing three singles that earned national critical acclaim.
