Lutan Fyah is a Rastafarian of the Bobo Shanti discipline from Jamaica. He got his start by performing various vocals on Buju Banton's releases beginning in 1999, but didn't release his solo debut Dem No Know Demself until 2004. Fyah feels a deep connection to his Bobo Dread beliefs that include not working on the Sabbath, wearing long robes and wrapping his head in a turban. Lutan Fyah writes songs where he reflects upon the society in which he lives and how he feels people should interact with one another.
