Ray Chen is an Australian concert violinist of Taiwanese decent who rose to fame upon winning first prize at Australia's prestigious Queen Elizabeth Music Competition in 2008 as the competition's youngest participant. As a result of winning the competition, Chen immediately began embarking upon opportunities to perform throughout the world, including a critically-acclaimed American debut performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
