A film festival founded to counter the negative image of Native Americans fostered by the film industry. For more than 20 years, the American Indian Film Festival (AIFF) has presented films about the culture and history of Native Americans, as well as issues unique to them in the modern world. This nine-day festival has been a consistent hit among all communities in the Bay Area, with feature films, documentaries, and shorts that, on some level, speak to all people, no matter what their heritage.
