Founded in 1992 to promote films as an art form in St. Louis, this festival has quite a fan following. Films and documentaries are screened over a period of 11 days. Apart from viewing works before their official release, visitors can also meet film-makers at the festival. Over 25 awards are given annually, including Best International Feature and Interfaith Award. It is organized by the Cinema St. Louis organization. Screenings held at a number of venues, including Tivoli Theater, Plaza Frontenac Cinema and the Missouri History Museum.
