Oldenburg is a pretty old town which has seen both Danish administration, as well as French influences. It is currently a modern city with a variety of museums, shopping complexes, art galleries and more on offer. Especially when it comes to shopping, the old city center has a pedestrianized shopping zone. The regal Schloss Oldenburg is another unmissable sight for the history buffs, while you can catch a show at Oldenburg State Theatre for a taste of culture.
