TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Ellwangen is a small, yet stunningly beautiful town surrounded by verdant woods and hills, which watch over its landscape. Notably, the Schönenberg church, a baroque wonder with two towers and the massive Ellwangen castle with its topaz hue, lie on the promontory overlooking the city. The town center too, is quite popular for many examples of medieval architecture, evident in the various churches there, the most famous one being Ellwangen Basilica. All the sights aside, the view of the red-shingled roofs and rustic houses from a hill, set against a lush countryside backdrop is picture-perfect to say the least.
