Görlitz is one of the main towns in the state of Saxony, with the Landeskrone mountain on end and Lake Berzdorf adorning the other. While the massive Peterskirche, the enchanting Nikolaifriedhof and the historic Landskron Braumanufaktur brewery are top attractions for visitors, a trip to the lake or the local museum is equally rewarding. Other than that, the prevalent Gothic and Renaissance architecture in most of the old buildings around town are a treat for the eyes.
