The 72-meter (236-foot) tall Pfarrkirche St. Peter und Paul dominates the skyline of Görlitz and is a major city landmark. It offers a breathtaking view of the Neisse River and the surrounding valley. This Gothic church was constructed with five aisles between 1425 and 1497. After a fire damaged the interiors in 1691, they were revamped in the Baroque style with high vaults, magnificent sculptures and gold embellishments. The two towers flanking the church building are hallmarks and span a height of 84 meters (275.6 feet). The church organ has 88 registers with 6219 pipes, one pedal and four manuals. You can attend service every morning from Friday to Sunday.
