Some of the most important local residences were located along this street right back in medieval times. The houses include the bishop's residence, the Palazzo Campofranco, hotel Kusseth, and the Palazzo Menz in the 18th Century Bavarian Baroque style. Sometimes there are craft markets or charity fairs in Piazza della Mostra. A re-enactment of the Corpus Domini with Saint George rescuing the princess from the dragon took place here every three years until 1793. The Fink restaurant stands where the Imperial court and the jail once stood. The Vicolo della Parrocchia links Via della Mostra with the Duomo. The street ends in Piazza Walther and is one of the most lively streets during the Christmas market, with stalls and street musicians. Piazza Campofranco contains the Galleria Goethe, one of the most important art galleries in the city. Palazzo Pock houses the most famous restaurant in the city, Zur Kaiserkron.
