More than just a bookstore, Waterstone's has the largest number of titles available under one roof, in the whole of Scotland. Five floors of shelves are crammed with the latest literary efforts of everyone's favorite authors, as well as more obscure ones. This is a vast shrine to the written word, which pays more than lip service to the idea of customer care. The basement houses a cafe and there are lots of brightly colored sofas and armchairs on every floor so you can make the difficult decision of what book to read next in total comfort.
