Alšovo nábřeží 12, Prague, 110 00
The magnificent, sandstone-made Rudolfinum has witnessed some of the most glorious concerts and the sound of Western Classical Music echoes the best at this venue in Prague. Facing the river Vltava, the Rudolfinum takes opulence and functionality to higher levels. Celebrated architect Josef Zitek and his student Josef Schulz are the masterminds behind the impeccable neo-Renaissance style of this hall. It is home to the illustrious Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, an ensemble that many think as the last proponent of the rich Central European sound. Named after Rudolf, the Crown Prince of Austria, the building has several rooms suitable for concerts and other functions. Dvorak Hall, being the most renowned auditorium of Rudolfinum, defines magnificence with its Baroque accents and excellent acoustics. Music virtuoso, Antonin Dvorak, himself conducted the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in 1896, in his namesake hall. The lobby, lounges, and cafes housed inside the venue transport its patrons to the grandeur of Renaissance era.
