Businessman J.F. Dickson renovated this magnificent castle at the beginning of the 20th Century. The house is built in Elizabethan style with extravagant and exclusive facilities dating from the turn of the last century. Tjolöholms Slott has grand castle grounds on a peninsula in the Kungsbacka fjord. The area includes a church built in Scottish style, popular for weddings. There is also a carriage museum on the grounds, which are very beautiful. If you want to go swimming, there is a small beach just at the foot of the castle, especially suitable for small children. There are a few cafés on the grounds too. Guided tours of the castle are arranged every hour.
