Hotel Vanilj is on Kyrkogatan, close to the Cathedral and everything else in central Gothenburg: shops, cafes, bars, clubs and museums. The hotel has individually decorated rooms, each with its own name. Furthermore there is a common room for those who miss the social life of hostels but want to live more comfortably. The bottom floor of the house dating from 1865 is occupied by Kafé Vanilj where you can have pies and sandwiches.
