Located in the west part of the main University campus, Haas Pavilion is the prime venue for Cal-Intercollegiate athletics and basketball games and the home venue of the university's men's and women's basketball teams. It is also used for training by the gymnastics team and has a seating capacity of 11858 spectators. The Haas Pavilion was built in 1933 as Harmon Gym, before being reconstructed in 1999, when it was named after Walter A.Haas, Jr.
