400 Shoreline Village Drive, Corner Shoreline Village Drive and Linden Avenue, Long Beach, CA, United States, 90802
The Rainbow Lagoon Park situated on the Northern side of Shoreline Drive expands across 12 acres of urban landscape. This park is not exactly a natural habitat but more of a relaxation spot for neighborhood residents. The park is mainly covered by cultured lawns and palm trees. It was created in order to fill up the water around Rainbow Pier which was constructed in the 1920s. The lagoon is an artificially created one, but nevertheless gives one a feel of the marine atmosphere. If you are lucky you might spot some herons catching fish from the lagoon.
