Kleine Komedie is one of the most historical theaters in Amsterdam. Built in 1786, it represents the rich cultural heritage of The Netherlands. It was called the Theater Français sur l'Erwtemarkt and received patronage from the great Napoleon. Earlier, French performances were showcased at this theater; but nowadays it focuses on promoting Dutch talent. The theater is armed with state-of-the-art sound and light equipment. Locals frequently visit the place to enjoy the theatrical performances, so be sure that you book in advance to avoid last minute rush.
