Founded in 1964, the Swiss Life Hall or the AWD Hall as it is commonly known is a huge entertainment and sports center in Hannover. The facility is situated within the Calenberger Neustadt, a popular sports center in the city. With a seating capacity of 5800 people, the venue has hosted many historical matches and festive performances. Handball matches and tournaments organized at this venue throughout the year witnesses a huge crowd. The flexible nature f this arena makes it ideal for hosting concert and other events as well. The reason it is now called Swiss Life is that of the takeover of the AWD company by this insurance giant.
