Ipswich Regent Theatre

Opened in 1929 as a variety Hall, the Regent Theater in Ipswich has seen many a glory days. Surviving both the wars as well as the advent of television, the popularity of the theater remains on account of its regal stage. A stage that was once graces by not only mayors and national orchestras, but also by pop gods such as The Beatles, Tina Turner and Tom Jones. Taken over by the Ipswich council in 1991, the Regent continues to draw in a packed crowd and features as one of Ipswich's best and most popular entertainment hubs.
