The Velvet Underground is exactly what you would expect from a club named after one of the most famous alternative bands of the 60s. That is to say, you will not find the regular club district clientèle here, but instead a wide variety of college kids, Goths, punks, and everything in between. If you're looking for a place to play some pool, dance, people-watch and have some affordable drinks, Velvet is a great place to spend the night. You will not find the usual hit rap/pop music and heavy cover charge here, but instead a wide variety of alternative 80s and 90s music alongside a fascinating metal sculpture decor. Doors open at 10p.
