Nikolaikirche Rostock is one of the oldest surviving churches not only in Rostock but in all of Germany. Both the interior and exterior are resplendent with beautiful sculptures, architecture, and intricate design. It has seen and survived World War II. The arches, altar, and statues in the church will leave you spellbound. Made of brick, you will find an interesting piece of architecture in almost every nook and corner of the church. Although no services take place here, it is now used as a cultural venue that hosts several concerts, exhibitions, and other events.
