A hidden treasure, Wrest Park is a plush and vast park located in Silsoe village. Inspired by the beautiful Versailles Gardens, it is well maintained and humongous. While the lush garden is 150 years old,the mansion was built in 1839.The park has numerous wooded walks and beautiful canals. Several grandiose buildings are part of the site such as the Chinese Pavilion, Bath House, Orangery, Green House among others. Numerous statues too grace the garden with their beauty. The imposing manor house was built in French architectural style. The interiors are decorated with old paintings. There is also an ornate staircase that leave visitors spell bound. Each building is uniquely designed, and reflects the artistic tastes of different members of the De Grey family that owned Wrest Park.
