Entertaining Californians since the 1930s, the Visalia Fox Theater is a landmark restored in 1999 by a community group called "Friends of Fox". This atmospheric theater depicts an oriental temple garden. A concert of Marvin Hamlisch was held at the grand re-opening and it was completely sold out, marking the re-entry of Visalia to mainstream entertaining.
