The award-winning Seiji Ozawa Hall of the Tanglewood Music Center is the summer venue for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. It is the home of the lauded Tanglewood concert series that features the Festival of Contemporary Music, held every July. The 1200-seater hall features a warm wooden finish and barn-themed architecture that melds seamlessly with the rural setting. Wooden balconies line the walls and offer ideal vantage points for the lucky few who manage to get these coveted seats. Performances encompass everything from full-blown orchestra concerts to intimate recitals. The acoustics are superb and ensure that even if you don't have the best view, you'll still be mesmerized by the melodious sounds.
