Formerly the Paramount Center for the Arts, Paramount Hudson Valley reopened in 2013 after being renovated to its original glory. Built in 1930 as a movie theater, it changed a few hands over the years but has always remained an entertainment venue. Its hand-painted ceiling, vintage theater seats, proscenium stage, huge columns, balcony and faux opera boxes give it an old worldly look with a tinge of modernity. It is among the best performing arts establishments in town and hosts regular live music and theater acts.
