Founded by the charming Electra Webb in 1947 and housed in a picturesque round barn, the Shelburne Museum possesses an amazing collection of permanent exhibits that explore the history and culture of this charming town and the surrounding region. The marvelous collection includes Native American art, decorative art, old tools, quilts, impressionist paintings, dolls, furniture, and dollhouses. It also displays antique steamboats, carriages and stage coaches. The lush gardens around the museum and its splendid location near Lake Champlain make for another big draw.
