Shelburne began as a small farming community that flourished with the advent of sawmills, gristmills, and shops. The Shelburne Museum brings its intriguing history to life through a variety of exhibits. The other two popular tourist attractions in the town are the Shelburne Farms, which is a bucolic working farm, and the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, which is known to be one of the largest sellers of teddy bears in the world.
