The Barbican Theatre still puts on a quality blend of performances, usually starting at 7p for evening shows and 2p for matinees. The theater seats an epic 1144 people with space for eight wheelchairs. The Pit, a smaller theater on the lower level, stages more experimental work, including plays by new writers. Part of the extensive multi-arts Barbican Centre.
