First opened as the ' Prince's Theatre'in 1884, the name was changed to the Prince of Wales Theater two years later, before the new theater designed by Robert Cromie came into play in 1937. Nowadays, the Prince of Wales Theatre puts on a variety of plays and musicals geared towards tourists and the general musical-loving public, including shows like the now-departed "West Side Story" and "Fosse." The theater seats more than 1000 people, depending on the size of the production and its popularity. Two bars and a confectionery kiosk supply drinks and snacks.
