One of the largest and oldest movie theaters in town, the Lichtburg Essen is the city's premier cinemas. The theater opened its doors in 1928 and has continued to top the charts since then. Ultra-famous stars like Gary Cooper and Louis Armstrong have attended openings at the venue. Today, the theater boasts state-of-the-art sound technology and huge screens that create an incredible movie experience.
